Inside a Carrier 50EZ-A30---3
Carrier package units are somewhat more serviceable than they used to be. Still, I don't understand why they let these units leave the factory with all those capillary tubes rubbing each other. It is only a matter of time before pinholes start in these "rub" areas and the unit loses the entire refrigerant charge.
Uh-oh, what's this fluid?
This is the pan beneath the heater core. I'm very concerned. There should be a hose allowing liquid to escape to the outside. This liquid looks like anti-freeze to me. Or, is it refrigerant? Uh-oh ... stay tuned. I was going to get the refrigerant charged up today, but I think I'd better wait.
